Memories made!

I don't usually write that much on my blog because I never seem to have enough time, but I decided I have to write about all of the fun we had on this trip because I want to save the memories we made forever. Only a handful of my family even read this blog so I have decided it will be like my little journal, and if I am dead and gone away someday my kids and grand kids will have something to look back on and read. There are so many funny stories and pictures we have from this trip and I am going to get on this computer and post when ever I start thinking about the wonderful memories we made. So here goes... :)
We grabbed IN-N-OUT and took off to the beach, we could not wait to get there, we had a lot of fun talking and singing and sleeping and laughing, great memories were made on this long car ride from Idaho to California!
Malibu loved the vanilla shakes the best, and Boston loves his burger plain with only cheese.
The hats make it so fun, and Maddi kept saying I feel like this was made with love...yum! Notice in this shot she keeps her phone in her bra!?! Strange, but I guess all the kids do it these days, so I pick my battles with her and I say nothing... I actually have decided it really is a pretty good idea :)
In-N-Out burger was in Vegas! It did not disappoint either, it was seriously so yummy!

Rob decided at the last minute before we were to leave on the trip that he wanted to rent a car... We all laughed so hard when he pulled up in the ugliest greenish, turquoise mini van, but it was actually quite a nice ride, and was comfortable too. We made jokes about how ugly and lame it was the whole time, but Rob thought it was the best idea he has had in a million years, he was glad to have no stress about putting miles on his car, and that if anything went wrong with it, he would have another car delivered to us in seconds. Luckily we never broke down. Maddi called it the MAN VAN, Boston called it the big rolling turd, (prob, from the movie reference from RV, great show) Robs says every trip will always be with a rental car. I don't know... it was lamer than lame! I pick my battles in this marriage, so we will see about that....ha

Maddison is reading the book Jesus the Christ and kept us updated the whole trip about what she was learning, it was great. She was starting to feel sick so she picked up a really good drink with lots of good healthy stuff in it, I thought it tasted like guck (if that's even a word) but she seems to like strange different things, she actually drank it all.

Canada had a great idea to buy a pack of gum at every gas station we stopped at, it was cute, she has a thing for gum and always has the new and coolest gums in her school bag everyday. She even shared with whining Malibu every time she asked her for a piece! Thanks Canada! She brought 250 bucks that she had saved up from babysitting, she would get paid 60 to 75 dollars a night from this awesome couple with two kids and each time she would pay her tithing at church and she swears that is why she kept getting called back to babysit and kept getting paid so much. She is a precious girl and a really good babysitter too!

The trip could not have been better, the kids were on cloud nine to be headed out of town and I think that is why they were so nice to each other and really kept to themselves. Malibu made a lot of noise and drove us all a little crazy but we dealt with it the best we could, I stuck my head out the window a few times to breath in the fresh air and count to ten. Rob and I shared a lot of kisses and the kids were so grossed out, but hey, it was our vacation too, the kids had to just get used to it! It was awesome!
